Frequently Asked Questions

Does Black Cat Armory offer for sale complete firearms, frames, or receivers?

No.  Complete firearms, frames, and receivers are federally regulated and must be sold by an FFL.  Black Cat Armory does not sell firearms.

Are firearm parts federally regulated or regulated in Idaho?

If not a frame or receiver, then no.  Replacement parts, parts kits, magazines, etc. are not regulated in Idaho.  :)

Where does Black Cat Armory engage in business?

Primarily, we sell firearm parts and magazines in Idaho on an in-person basis.  Black Cat Armory will only knowingly ship parts and magazines where it is legal to do so.  It is ultimately the responsibility of the purchaser to know their state and local laws prior to placing a shipping order.  Black Cat Armory reserves the right to refuse or cancel any shipping order.

What is required at the point of sale for firearm parts and magazines?

Cash is king.  For shipments, personal checks must be allowed to clear prior to shipment.  We are not yet accepting credit or debit card purchases.

Is Black Cat Armory a licensed business in Idaho?

Yes.  Black Cat Armory is licensed to do business in Post Falls, ID.  Copies of our business license are on record.  Reference License # BL-24-158.

How do you place an order and make a purchase?

We publish what is actively for sale.  If it isn't listed, please submit a request using our website on the contact page.  Let us know what you would like to purchase to include the quantity of parts or magazines.  If it isn't in stock, we can put it on order and will let you know the lead time.  Orders over $100 must be paid in advance of pickup.  Upon request, we are happy to ship your order directly to you.  Shipping fees are the responsibility of the purchaser.  Black Cat Armory will not ship items where prohibited.

What are popular items purchased from Black Cat Armory right now?

At this time, standard capacity magazines are in high demand.  These are sometimes erroneously called "high capacity magazines".  Most commonly, this includes AR-15 magazines such as P-Mags, AK-47 type steel magazines, Glock brand pistol magazines, M1A magazines, and others.  Black Cat Armory works to keep the most commonly requested magazines in stock; however, we can assist with orders for hard to find parts and uncommon magazines too.

Are all magazine sales final?

Yes.  We cannot reasonably be expected to test fire every magazine or drum that enters our stock.  Black Cat Armory assumes the manufacturers of magazines and drums put their products through a QA process.  In our experience, standard 20-30 round magzines "out of the box" generally perform well for common rifle platforms.

Can I pick up my order in person and pay cash?

Yes, but the order must be placed in advance.  As a home-based and online business, there is no brick and mortar shop for browsing.
